Planned. This directory is not live and is not being compiled yet. Nothing on this page describes something you can use today.

What this directory will be

The Singapore Aircon Guide is the second of our independent Singapore service directories. It will cover aircon servicing, chemical wash, repair and installation companies across Singapore, with planning-area pages inside the directory rather than as separate sites.

It is planned, not live. We are saying that plainly here because a directory that describes itself as running before it runs is exactly the behaviour this publisher exists to avoid. When the listing set is compiled and validated, the status on this page changes and the link below starts pointing at something real.

The method it will use is already published. It is the same engine that runs behind the Singapore Locksmith Guide, and it is set out in full in how we rank businesses.

How aircon scoring will differ

Aircon is a recurring-service trade, and that changes what a review is worth. Most households buy servicing several times a year for years, so the useful signal is not whether one visit went well. It is whether the fourth visit went as well as the first, whether the same company still answers the phone in year three, and whether the technician who turns up is as competent as the one who quoted.

The second weighting is money. The complaint that recurs across aircon reviews is a routine servicing visit that turns into a chemical overhaul once someone is standing on the ladder. Reviews describing the quoted price against the final bill are weighted up, because a quote that holds is one of the few things a customer can verify without technical knowledge.

Reviews that describe the work specifically, the coil, the drainage, the gas, are stronger evidence than reviews that just report a cooler room, and the score treats them that way. What the score cannot see is set out honestly in what our scores do and do not measure.

If you run an aircon company

You do not need to do anything, and there is nothing to buy. Listings are compiled from public sources, they are free, and nobody will call you to sell placement, because there is no placement to sell. If you want to be included when the set is compiled, or excluded from it, say so through corrections and removals. The reassurance page for owners is if your business is listed.

Section 04 // Trade scoring

How scoring is adapted for this trade

The engine is the same across every directory we publish. What changes is which parts of a review it reads most closely.

01

Reliability across repeat visits

Aircon is a recurring service. A company can look excellent on a first visit and thin out by the fourth, so reviews describing repeat contact carry more weight here than a single glowing first-timer.

02

Whether the quote held

The recurring aircon complaint is a servicing visit that becomes a chemical overhaul once the technician is inside. Reviews that mention the quoted price against the final bill are weighted up.

03

What was actually done

Reviews that describe the work in specific terms, coil cleaning, drainage, gas, are more useful evidence than reviews that only say the room feels cooler, and the score treats them that way.

04

What never touches the score

Payment, advertising spend, and any commercial relationship. The ranking engine cannot see them.

Section 05 // Maintenance

Re-checked every month

Closed businesses are removed automatically at the monthly re-check, validity checks are re-run, and every score is rebuilt against the current review set. Each listing shows the date it was last re-checked, so a stale entry is visible rather than hidden.

FAQ

Questions about the Aircon Guide

Is the Singapore Aircon Guide live?
No. It is planned. The directory is not live and the listing set is not being compiled yet. We will change the status on this page when that changes.
Why score aircon differently from locksmiths?
Because the failure modes differ. A locksmith is judged on how fast they arrived and whether the quoted fee held. An aircon company is judged across repeated visits over years, so consistency matters more.
Will listing on it cost anything?
No. Listings are free on every directory we publish, and staying listed is free. Corrections and removals are free too.
Can I ask to be added before it launches?
Yes. Email us through the corrections page and we will hold the request until the listing set is compiled.
Can an aircon company pay to rank higher?
No. Ranking is featured-blind on every directory we publish: the engine that produces a score cannot read whether a business has paid for anything. No paid placement is offered today.
How often will the aircon listing set be re-checked?
Monthly, once it is live. The whole set is re-checked every month so closed or renamed companies drop out and scores move as new reviews arrive. Each listing carries the date it was last re-checked.
