You do not need to do anything
If you have found your business on one of our independent Singapore service directories and you never asked to be there, here is the short version: nothing is required of you.
You do not need to register, claim a listing, verify anything, respond to anything, or pay anything. There is no account, no dashboard, no trial that expires, and no invoice coming. If you close this page and never think about it again, your listing carries on exactly as it is.
That is unusual enough that people reasonably assume a catch, so the rest of this page is the detail behind it.

Where the listing came from
Listings are compiled from public sources: business information that is already published where anyone can see it, along with the public customer reviews that the score is built from.
We compile that into a directory for one trade at a time, apply validity checks, and rank what survives. The checks themselves are described in how we check a business is real. Nobody sold us your details, and no data was bought.
A listing shows your trading name, the trade category we placed you in, the planning areas you cover, a score, and the date the entry was last re-checked. There is a walkthrough of every field in how to read a listing.
Nobody will call you
Support is email only, at hello@sgheartlandguides.com. There is no phone number on this site and no sales team, because there is nothing being sold.
No paid placement is offered on any of our directories today. If that ever changes it will be labelled as paid, it will sit outside the ranked list, and it will not move any score, which is set out in our editorial standards. So there is no version of this where a call comes in offering to improve your position, because no such product exists.
If you do get a call from someone claiming to represent us, it is not us.
How the score works, and what moves it
Your score is built from public customer reviews: how many there are, how recent they are, how the ratings are distributed, and what reviewers say about the parts of the job that matter most in your trade. The full method is in how we rank businesses.
Three practical consequences are worth knowing.
It moves on its own. Reviews age, so a score can drift downward without a single new complaint. It can also rise without you doing anything new, if competitors stall. Scores are recalculated at every monthly re-check.
Consistency beats a high average. A business with a handful of one-star reviews scattered through a good record scores worse than one with a slightly lower average and almost no bad tail. Directories exist to help people avoid a bad day, so the shape of the ratings matters as much as the mean.
A new business will score low for a while. That is a real limitation rather than a judgement, and we say so openly in what our scores do and do not measure. Volume takes time and nothing shortcuts it.
The only honest way to improve a score is to serve customers well and let the reviews follow. There is no other route, which is rather the point. Asking satisfied customers to review you is fine and normal; offering something in exchange is not, and it tends to leave the kind of pattern described in how we handle fake and incentivised reviews.
What being listed does and does not commit you to
It commits you to nothing. There is no agreement, express or implied, and being listed does not make you a customer, a partner, or a party to anything.
Concretely, it does not mean you have agreed to receive enquiries through us, because enquiries do not come through us. Our directories link to businesses; they do not intercept, route, or resell contact. Nobody buys your leads and there is no commission attached to a click, which is also why nothing about your listing changes based on how much work it sends you.
It does not oblige you to respond to reviews, correct anything, or monitor your entry. Plenty of listed businesses will never know they are listed, and that is a perfectly acceptable outcome.
It also does not stop you being listed elsewhere, or require exclusivity of any kind. We have no claim over anything you do.
The one thing worth doing, if you have a minute, is checking that the trade category and the areas we have you covering are right. Those two fields are the ones we most often get wrong from public data, and a wrong category is the fastest way for a good business to look worse than it is.
If something is wrong, or you want out
Email hello@sgheartlandguides.com with your business name, the directory it appears on, and what is wrong. Standard requests are handled within five business days, faster for legal ones. The full process is at corrections and removals.
If you want the listing gone entirely, say so. Removal requests are honoured, they cost nothing, and a removed business is not penalised or marked in any way. Closed businesses come off automatically at the monthly re-check without anyone having to write in.
If you think a competitor is gaming reviews, tell us, and read how we handle fake and incentivised reviews first so you know what we can realistically do about it.
