Singapore Plumber Guide
Our planned directory of plumbers and emergency plumbing companies across Singapore.
Planned. This directory is not live and the listing set is not being compiled yet. Nothing here describes something you can use today.
What this directory will be
The Singapore Plumber Guide is the third of our independent Singapore service directories. It will cover general plumbing, leak and choke clearing, water-heater work and emergency call-outs across Singapore, with planning-area pages held inside the directory.
It is planned. Not live, not being compiled, not usable today. We would rather say that on the page than let a reader assume otherwise, which is the same reason every directory here carries a status label.
When it is built it will run on the method already published for the Singapore Locksmith Guide and set out in how we rank businesses. The engine does not change between directories. What changes is which parts of a review it reads most closely.
How plumbing scoring will differ
Plumbing splits into two jobs that behave nothing alike. One is planned work, a water heater, a bathroom refit, where a customer can compare quotes and take their time. The other is an emergency: a choke at midnight, a leak coming through a ceiling. Roughly half the work is the second kind, so this directory weights emergency availability more heavily than a directory of scheduled trades would.
The second weighting is whether the price held. Plumbing quotes are given before anybody can see inside a wall, which makes them unusually easy to revise upward once the work starts, and it is the thing customers write about most bitterly when it goes wrong. Reviews that compare the quoted figure with the billed one are strong evidence and are treated accordingly.
The third is durability. A review posted the same afternoon says the plumber was pleasant. A review posted six weeks later, saying the choke has not come back, says something far more useful, and the scoring reads recency and content together rather than treating every review as equal. The limits of all this are set out in what our scores do and do not measure.
If you run a plumbing company
Nothing is required of you and nothing is for sale. Listings are compiled from public sources, they are free, and there is no placement to buy. To be included when the set is compiled, or to stay out of it, tell us through corrections and removals. If you have questions about what being listed means, start at if your business is listed.

How scoring is adapted for this trade
The engine is the same across every directory we publish. What changes is which parts of a review it reads most closely.

Emergency availability
Half of plumbing work is unplanned, and a burst pipe does not wait for office hours. Reviews describing whether somebody answered, and how quickly they arrived, are weighted up in this directory.
Whether the price held once work started
Plumbing quotes are given before anyone can see inside a wall, which makes them easy to revise upward. Reviews that compare the figure quoted with the figure billed are among the most useful signals we have.
Whether the fix lasted
Reviews written weeks later, saying whether the choke came back or the leak stayed fixed, carry more weight than a review posted the same afternoon.
What never touches the score
Payment, advertising spend, and any commercial relationship. The ranking engine cannot see them.
Re-checked every month
Closed businesses are removed automatically at the monthly re-check, validity checks are re-run, and every score is rebuilt against the current review set. Each listing shows the date it was last re-checked, so a stale entry is visible rather than hidden.

How we check a business is real
The validity checks a listing passes before it appears, and what gets rejected.
ReadWhy we run one site per trade, not one per neighbourhood
Singapore is one market and the same companies serve the whole island, so area pages live inside each directory rather than as separate sites.
ReadWhy a business might not be listed
Inclusion criteria and exclusions in plain language. Absence is not a judgement of quality.
